Created in 2015, Ruby Charm Houses is a company dedicated to tourist accommodation, based in Porto, Portugal.

It is Ruby Charm Houses’ mission to provide the maximum comfort and well-being to everyone that travels to Porto, whether in leisure or work/study. With several properties within a typical urbanization (Ilha) near the city centre, our clients will have the opportunity to enjoy the city in community with the natives, as well as people from different parts of the world.

Our services

Everything you need to enjoy your stay

Reception

Our Reception is open Mon-Fri from 2pm to 7:30pm and Sat-Sun from 10am to 2pm.

Free WiFi

We have free WiFi available in every house, as well as the garden for you to enjoy.

Gated Community

The houses are located in a gated community, within a typical "Ilha", in the city of Porto.

Barbecue

If you are in the mood to grill some burguers or fish, you can use one of our Barbecues, located in the Garden.

Jacuzzi

If you want to relax even more, why not try our Jacuzzi?

Touristic tickets

We have available for you to purchase, tickets to several touristic activities (Bus trips Hop-On/Hop-Off; Museums; etc.)

Laundry Room

Open Mon-Sat from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Closed on Sundays. The use of the washing machine is subject to the payment of 2€/ washing (detergent included)

Transfer Service

This transfer service has an additional cost of €25 per trip (from and to the airport). If you want to use this service, please send us a message/email with your flight number up to 24 hours before your flight.

Thinking on renting a car?

We inform our guests that we have also a personalized rent-a-car service, through the company "mcunha rent-a-car" with the collection and drop off location of the cars, to be arranjed with the guest. Important notices

Here are some important things to know about Ruby

No Parties allowed

To best serve all of the clients and to not disturb our neighbours, we do not allow parties on the property.

No Pets allowed

To prevent any damage and/or disturbance, we do not allow pets on the property.

Children over 8

The houses are not ready for children below the age of 8 years old. Several have mezzanine that can be dangerous for unattended children.

Check-In

The check-In period is from 3pm to 12am. We ask you to inform us in advance of your estimate time of arrival.

No Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside of the houses. You can smoke in the garden, where there are ashtrays for that purpouse.

No Extra Beds

The beds in the houses are not susceptible to change and it is not possible to request for extra beds.

Deposit

Upon arrival, you'll be asked for a deposit, through a pre-authorization on your credit card, that is reverted at check-out.

Check-Out

The Check-out period is from 8am to 11am. Earlier check-out is possible. Talk to us to schedule it

Mandatory to show iD card and/or passport

Since 2015 Portugal has more strictly enforced a longstanding law requiring anyone providing paid holiday accommodation to record the entry, exit, and identification details of all nonPortuguese nationals who use that accommodation. This law has been brought into force in Portugal and most other EU countries at some point since the gradual implementation of the 1990 Schengen Agreement that aims to stop human trafficking and other illegal practices. In this case, it is specifically Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent Alojamento Local law in Portugal that has brought this rule into sharper focus.

The governing body that monitors the movement of foreigners is SEF (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras or the Immigration and Borders Service).
